About the Role
This exciting contract role at The Little Tree Group Pty Ltd in Darwin NT 0800 offers the opportunity to apply your expertise as a Behaviour Support Practitioner . In this position, you will play a crucial part in supporting individuals and their families, contributing to the strategic objectives of our organisation.
Requirements
What you'll be doing
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the unique needs and challenges of clients
Develop and implement tailored behaviour support plans to address challenging behaviours
Provide training and support to families, carers and other stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation of behaviour support strategies
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behaviour support plans, making adjustments as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to client care
Maintain detailed client records and contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery
What we're looking for
Registration as a suitable behaviour practitioner (core, proficient, advanced or specialist)
Minimum 1 year of experience in the provision of behaviour support services, with a strong understanding of positive behaviour support principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families and other professionals
Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop evidence-based behaviour support plans
Proficient in the use of relevant assessment tools and data collection methods
Commitment to ongoing professional development and a strong ethical approach to practice
Flexibility to meet clients in their homes, schools, community, or wherever suits them!
