We're Hiring: Behaviour Support Practitioner
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) services to individuals with disability, with the aim of reducing and eliminating restrictive practices and improving quality of life.
About the Role

You'll work alongside a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner committed to ethical, evidence-based practice — to deliver personalised support that improves lives.

This position is part-time or contractor-based, with flexible hours and options for remote or mobile work depending on your location.

This role is based in Darwin and requires travel to local areas including home, schools and businesses.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs)

Develop and implement Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans
-
Collaborate with participants, families, and support teams
-
Submit plans in line with NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission guidelines
-
Coach support workers to implement strategies effectively
-
Regularly review and update behaviour plans
-
Maintain accurate records and reports

About You
-
Current Registration and Suitability as a Behaviour Practitioner with the NDIS
-
Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or related field
-
Understanding of restrictive practices, trauma-informed care, and person-centred approaches
-
Excellent communication and report writing skills
-
Reliable, self-motivated, and compassionate
-
Current WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Police Clearance
-
Driver’s licence and own vehicle
